A few things to note:
Making changes to your 2021-22 course selection
Course selection starts in January every year, and the deadline was in mid-February. Families will receive course confirmation in March, and if there is any mistakes, students can request changes. Last day to make changes is (March 11?).
Please reach out to your counselors for course change request. For incoming 9th grade families, you may contact Assistant Principal Ms Perla Pasallo perla.pasallo@mvla.net .
Out-of-district dual enrollment (e.g. incoming 9th grade families who wish to take Geometry over summer)
(for those who attended Monday's session, Ms Satterwhite later confirmed there is no "list of approved institutions" for out-of-district courses)
Please go to UC a-g doorway website to look for institutions that are UC approved (and therefore MVLA approved) - please pay close attention to details in the slide deck.
Taking courses at MVHS
Only allowed if the course is not available at LAHS (e.g. Japanese). However keep in mind it will take up 2 periods of the day because of commute, and will diminish the number of course the student can take.
