School Campus

The LAHS Parent Teatime Club, with the help of Chinese teachers and lots of parents volunteers, organized the first-ever Chinese New Year Party on campus on Jan. 24, 2020.  On the school courtyard, parents put up various Chinese style decorations, including 3D paper lanterns, traditional wallpaper with Chinese poems, and hanging ornaments.  Multiple activities were also organized, including riddles on hanging lanterns in both English and Chinese for students to guess as well as calligraphy writing.  Students who participated in any of these activities were awarded with red envelops as gift and many kinds of Chinese snacks.  A Chinese student even performed Beijing opera with the full opera masks and costume on.
